FAQ’s
As a general guide, most dogs benefit from grooming every 4–8 weeks to keep their coat healthy, comfortable and free from matting.
Regular brushing at home really helps keep your dog’s coat in good condition between grooms.
For some coats it’s essential to prevent matting, especially for longer or curly coats. I’m always happy to show you the best way to brush your dog and recommend the right tools to make it easier.
Yes, absolutely. Creating a calm, gentle environment is really important to me.
I work on a one-to-one basis and take things at your dog’s pace, allowing plenty of time for breaks and reassurance. My aim is always to make grooming as positive and stress-free as possible.
A bathing and drying appointment includes a thorough wash using gentle, suitable products for your dog’s coat and skin, followed by a careful towel and blow dry.
I’ll also brush through the coat, and can tidy areas like the face, feet and hygiene areas if needed.
This depends on your preference and your dog’s coat condition.
If the coat is well maintained, there’s usually more flexibility in length. If there is any matting, a shorter clip may be needed to keep your dog comfortable. I’ll always discuss options with you before starting.
